Original power steering pump only made it to 305k miles. Has anyone done it themselves? Videos of the tundra replacement show you can access it through the passenger wheel well. Anyone know if LC is same? It looks tight but I think I can go that route.

I’ll post my progress

Thanks in advance

It’s a pretty easy swap. Yes you can access it through the passenger wheel well. I’d say 305k on the original is very good. I got 120k and I just did it a few months ago.

Thanks. Yes I can confirm I have access from the passenger wheel well. Just take off the plastic splash guard. The only issue is at 305k the bolts are very rusty. I hit them with some penetrant and let them be for a while but they are tough. Afraid I’m going to snap a bolt.

So in the interest of time and frustration I’m going to have my mechanic do it. 😆
