Power steering pump end play

I can't find a spec in the manual. The shaft is held in via snapring on the far side of the vane pump rotor, with the shaft going through two bushings instead of a bearing, so it is plausible that some end play is normal.

Personally if it isn't making noises I think you are good to go. PS pumps like to sing out loud when they aren't happy.

Thanks, it's not doing the typical whine that a failing pump would make.
But it is making a knocking sound. I only heard it with the hood open when putting coolant back in.
I verified by removing the acc belt and the knocking goes away.

Edit, I've read of some tundra pumps making a knocking noise too, new pump ordered.
