Power Steering cooler plan...

Er not sure why you would need to cut. Its just rubber hose with clamps. You are just extending the rubber lines.

Well...I actually didn't want to just extend the rubber lines. I want to keep the rubber lines to a minimum. The original plan was to leave some of the hard line stock cooler (paperclip) in place, so I wouldn't have to build all new lines...so cut a section of that cooler out, flare the stock lines...add new line where needed, then bolt up the new cooler.

The alternative was to remove the paperclip all together and make all new lines, but it "looked" like the paperclip doesn't just slip out once undone because of how it goes through the frame and might have to be cut to get it off the rig.

So I was thinking, no matter what I did, I would have to cut into the stock paper clip cooler. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll have to look it all again before I decide what to do.

That resevior tank is super sweet! Where did you source it? It capacity more than the stock resevior (filter not included)?

I remove mine .. not necesary to cut it .. but you will need to bend it in all ways and have time and patient playing with 'em before you can pull all 'em from factory place ..

X2 .. looking sweet .. I hope it would cost an arm and eye ..

I get the pump whine occasionally and it really howls when I'm off roading at low speed,

Brian,
it sounds like air or some other problem. If you want to solve a problem, find it and repair- don't mask it by adding more stuff. I have seen heavy 80s on the trail (a lot heavier than yours) and they don't have this issue.

A beefed up cooler is a good idea. I am running one too.
Good luck:cheers:

I've shown it on other threads already but here is my new reservoir that yes...has NOT been installed.
is this made for a toyota? what car? or is this an upgrade? planning to add a cooler to my 80 because of fluid boiling up
