i hope they have the ability to get onto mud and read your post!

there are trees down everywhere in worcester - assumption college is evacuating their entire student body since they have no heat or power...

I'm in Glenville NY, just South of Saratoga.... we have been without power for 2 days now. National Grid says maybe another day or 2 before we are back on. Thank God for the generator and wood stove:D

Lost power for 24 hour. Love my honda generator.

Portsmouth is still a mess but getting better. Downtown is still without power in parts. Many, many trees down. Lots of streets closed. Just nuts around here...

BTW I hate digital phone service.

Came to the office this evening to catch up on email. Lost power on Thursday evening, still not back on, and NO IDEA when it will be back. There are wires down all around me, no utility trucks in sight. Glad I don't work for PSNH, those poor bastids are straight out. My living room was 44 this morning, bedroom was 39. The fireplace couldn't keep up with the heat loss last night, I'm going thru wood like crazy.

This sucks, and I need a shave.

Back home I go to feed the fire...

Never lost power. We had very little damage around my house, but my other sugarbush had moderate damage. I ahve 2 freinds with about 25,000 taps each and they have severe damage

Just drove up from Millis to Winchendon which is on the NH border. Almost ran out of gas cuz Fitchburg and surrounding towns still have no power. The trees look like a tornado or hurricane hit them. I passed a National Grid HQ and there were at least 100 trucks and crowds of workers getting ready to head out for repairs.

My business partner lives in Rindge, NH and was told he won't have power until this Friday or Saturday.

I still have no power ...a tree hit the corner of my house...staying at the inlaws  HELP

The tree would have hit the cruiser...but...i decided to move it to the driveway that night...9:00 am the tree went down...I'm blessed or at least my truck is

check on the house this morning...35 deg inside...cold :)

It is bad at my house. Took two hours just to clear a path down my driveway with a tractor. I am sure glad that I buried my power lines, it would have been expensive to fix along my 800' driveway. The power line is down in five places from my driveway to the corner. Most of the roads in New Braintree are open one lane only. You gotta drive over and around the down trees and power lines. Could be another week before power comes back on.

My family and I are going to stay in Burlington, VT. untill the power returns. The skiing is better here anyway.

Still nothing at home. MANY thanks to Ernie & Sheri (HJ-45CrewCab) for the hot shower last night, and to Dave (Cattledog) for the generator to run my heat. Chatter on the radio has some folks saying they may not be back on for Christmas.

My biz partner said school was cancelled in Rindge until January 5th. There's 1.5 miles of wire down on his street alone....and I mean down on the ground. He's draining the pipes next Monday and taking the family to Anguilla for the holidays. He's had it. His wife took the kids to Albany for the week to a relatives house and Andy will be in the dark, by himself for the next week. Still pretty miserable up there.

I live on top of a mountain in CT- at about 1100 feet. My sister lives 2 miles down the mountain at about 800 feet. We had devastation- she didn't. The line is clear at about 850 feet. We lost power Thursday night at 11:00 and I didn't sleep- literally sounded like a war zone outside- CRACK and crash... "...phew! that one didn't hit the house..." We were lucky only two trees leaning on the house and the tops of three trees leaning on the 40- it was pinned until I threw it in four- zero damage . The rest of the yard didn't fair too well. Power came back on Sunday afternoon.

Note to self: hook up the generator A LOT sooner- the sump pump is a necessity!!! had about 3" of water in the basement :bang:.

I think the only place in CT to be affected was my town- more specifically my neighborhood... I love living in the hills :bounce::bounce2:.
