Got power back on at ~8:30 last night. Not a minute too soon.

Anybody checking out the price gouging on craigslist for used generators? Pretty sad. I have 2 spare 22RE's and definitely enough spare parts to make a running engine. Wonder if I could build a genset with one? They convert to propane very well. Hmmmm...

got the power back last night at 9:00

...packed up our stuff and the kids and wife...moved the family back in at midnight...

...the wife wanted to clean the frig before putting our food back  then the floors were wet and dirty ...soooo.... we swiftered and cleaned up the house....boy...I AM SO GLAD WE DID ALL THAT ...i would have been thinking about it all night  at 2:00 I was able to sleep...5:50 was time to wake up :frown:

shoveled the driveway before work...at work now relaxing

I've a copy of Generators & Inverters. The book is relatively well written. I've never built my own genset, but This is probably as good a place to start as anywhere if you're really interested. I'm sure a 22re would be great.

I think I bought my copy from lindsaybooks, but I'm sure Amazon has it if you get a gift certificate from the holiday or from a coinstar.

Just a heads up for anyone without power and looking for a generator. Honda Depot in Greenland NH (down the street from me) has many in stock and is getting another trailer shipment this evening. They only have only one EM5000SXK2A left on the load coming in for $2500, fair deal IMO for a 240 volt setup.

BTW, They are good people, they a selling below msrp posted on honda website and no "storm" surcharge crap.

Hope this help someone.

Dave
