I did the headlight bulb cooling mod on a roadtrip in Mexico. It worked pretty well for a year or so, but when I did an '06+ facelift I ignorantly left out this mod. I'm considering putting some cooling holes in my new headlights.

I moved the seat warmer switches to the dash...

And added a third cupholder in the center.

I have a few more modification plans for the center console, but this is as far as I have gotten.

That's the way it should have come from the factory!

Hopefully you'll give us a full writeup when the project is done.

Seconded, kinda like that idea.

5Cruiser, I'm wondering why you would want to move the PWR/2ND button? What will go in it's place.

Good guess. I think I would've put the seat heater controls on the angled face of the center console if I needed to... reaching across the dash is a bit far from me... since I use them so much.

When I bought my LC, the previous owner put a reading lamp on the left side of the back, because he said it was too dark back there. He had never use the last row of seats infact it was being store at his garage until he put the car up for sale. I don't even think he turn on the 3rd row utility at least to the "door" setting. I thought it was kind of odd.

Here's mine. I could have gone with the $25 chinese version, but had to have the offroad bling. =)

Moved the winch controller to fit a third IPF spotlight ,
Installed a high volume air compressor in the engine bay.

Here's another one, which I forgot about until I crawled under the 100 today to change the oil. Using a silver Sharpie, I wrote down the bolt sizes for the oil filter cover (pictured), oil drain plug cover, and oil drain plug on the covers/frame. Now, there's no guessing and/or trial and error.

Good idea! I have the oil plug size for all my cars posted in my socket set but this is a few steps better.

Noticed your round air filter box... do you have a 2UZ? Do all LX's use the round filter housing?

It is a 2uz, all the cruisers and LXs in Australia have the round air box

If it is round, is it still and air "box"?:hhmm:

did you know a ball has 2 sides?

on the other hand, I made limb risers to keep the limbs from hitting my windshield. They have came in handy on a few trips, the rest of the time its a great place for everyone in the parking lot to hang your chip bags, Styrofoam cups, dirty socks, and whatever else I have found hanging on them. As well as kids strumming them making sounds...

totally worth it...
