Great pix!! Looks like there were a few FJ80's on that trip. gives me hope that one day maybe my FJ80 will run that trail, but i just ran it with some buddy's on 40's and i cringe at the thought of dragging my underbody over those rocks.

Sliders... then i'll try :)

Nice pics. Reminds me of my first trip to the Con on an OME 2.5" lift, it was the first time I really fell in love with my sliders.

Love the pics especially your sons hoody.. GO GIANTS!!!

Fantastic pics. And an awesome Dad/son adventure in great countryside.
Looks like you get a little bit of everything on the Rubicon. We just don't get that big mountain scenery over here.
Man I bet you're glad you had that skid plate.

Goodonya.

My armour pics are pretty much all at the end of my picasa album (see link below). Just like Doug, my sliders got worked heavily, as did the rear bumper, and transfer case skid plate, and my beefed up rear control arms got a good beating as well.
All my armour is from Jason at Cruisin' Off Road, he is now beginning to build me a front bumper, because as Doug mentioned, my existing aluminum one is now fairly mangled. I nener did like it much anyways (came with the truck when I bought it).

I would worry more about the Tcase than the tranny
The tranny is tucked up pretty good

Creeper for most folks they would have to try pretty hard to hit the tranny pan for the most part
But for you it would easy:grinpimp:

If you back up a few posts you will see the scrapes on my tranny skid. Here is the video of me testing the ipor skid.

most definitely a bad line. Not "truck flopping, drivetrain smashing, body damage bad" but bad enough to require a bunch of hi lift jacking, rock stacking and tow strap yanking.

Here is a video of the metal tech cat guard and sliders in action. Not pretty, but not a lot of options either. The high clearance front bumper was also helpful.

Video of Cadillac hill. I believe this is the rock on Cadillac Hill that eats the 80's rear quarter panels that I managed to scrape by unscathed this time.

Video at the top of big sluice was pretty easy compared to previous years. My wife had a hell of time trying to wrangle the dog, 6 year old Dominik and shoot video. This is not a very exciting video but the end of the video shows me sliding of a boulder on to my slider and shows the departure angle of the 4x4 labs bumper which still scrapes when my rear tire is in a hole.
