I have wanted a LC for a very long time. I have always had toyota's (pick ups and 4 runners) But I am super stoked about this one... even if it is the apparent crappy 2lte

Spec's
OME lift.
32" Geolanders.
3L head swap.
Exhaust dump under drivers door.

Its not pretty but its mine. I plan to make the 2lte run a bit better (inter-cooler, more boost, ect) and drive the crap out of it. Lots of adventuring with the wife. -Matt

Congrats on your purchase! I saw that one for sale for a while and thought it was a good deal. You're lucky you have a factory winch!

Don't stress too much about the 2lte. A few modifications, good maintenance and it'll be a happy engine with lots of power. Biggest thing is a good intercooler, good exhaust, scrap EGR system, and make sure your clutch fan is working well. Feel free to PM me anytime, as I've been through all this and can give you a bunch of pointers.

These are very capable and comfortable little rigs. They are built really strong and well with the exception of the small engine (which can be made reliable/long lasting with a bit of work).

You should hook up with the guys from Coastal Cruisers (check the clubhouse part of the forum).

Thanks GTS! I might just take you up on the offer. The truck was a very good deal I think, could not pass it up. I didn't even know it had the factory winch until I went to go look at it. So that was a bonus... and the suspension seats. I was planning on going out to one of the coastal cruiser meets if I got a chance. I will check out the forum.
