Slacker- really did the 60...I've got that same back bumper...I was looking at the picture of your rig and noticed your cb antenna mount...what kind of antenna are you running and how did you mount it- looks like it's somehow attached to the rear spare carrier?

I can't speak for his antenna, but I love my flexible Firestik and heavy duty spring.

His is probably mounted to a basic tab that is welded to the tire carrier.

I used a Wagon Gear Antenna Mount and put my CB on the fender in place of the radio antenna.

Nice FJ40 Tireguy...just watched something on TopGear Australia where they had a 40 vs. a 2009 Patrol...let's just say the long wheelbase didn't do the Patrol any favors...hard to beat a FJ Tank...

Tireguy - your 40 is awesome. Pinstripes included. I bet some TR3 would make that old paint shine.

Yeah I need to put more effort into shining it up. It's hard to tell in these pics but I did work on the drivers side door and in person you can tell it's got a lot more shine than the rest of the truck. I've heard that TR3 is good stuff.

A couple new pics...got my cb & firestik set up...

Damn they aren't messing around with the price either...not looking to spend almost as much as I payed for the truck haha

That's pretty standard for any full steel plated bumper with those shnazzy accessories. If you had them build you the bumper without the swing away stuff I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper.

As far as the side protections goes. They don't look like they're attached to the bumper, probably attached to the frame. Maybe custom built when the original owner ordered the rear bumper? I don't know. I've never seen them like that before.

From last weekends camping trip. The Buffalo was too high to cross (comfortably). I would have done it if someone else was with me and there was a good winch point.

So how far out did you go before common sense took over?

I waded out there first and it got up to my waist, which translated to middle of the doors on the cruiser. Plus the wife was telling me no from the get go.

Josh what kind of locker do you have in the rear?

Spartan Locker. Similar to a Lock-Rite or Aussie Locker.

Well, glad you didn't go out there and pull a Waldo :D
