Hi, Is the 45 year requirement going to be repealed since it’s one of the worst if not the worst in the nation?

It was recently (last 2-3 year) updated from 25 years, do I doubt there are any changes coming...

Nothing will happen with this unless somebody (you?) starts a conversation with a state legislator and gets the ball rolling.
I don't see the age for the current antique plate changing anytime soon. Maybe lobby for an exempt plate that does what you are wanting (a one time fee lifetime plate) and applies to vehicles older than 25 years. Same concept as the original antique plate without actually getting the same antique plate design.
Well, I'm surprised. I was at the revenue office today and the clerk asked if I've ever considered the antique plate on my FJ60. I said yes, but it's not 45 years old yet. She said that it's a 30 year age now. It changed to 30 sometime last year.
