Dang it, I wish I had seen that option before I paid for the Toyota OEM one plus shipping from the UAE. It looks like the route I took will cost me over $120 after I buy a good adapter.

So is DFP-11-12 my best option to fit a standard double din stereo into the Toyota non-standard aperture? I am after the cleanest look and the best fit.

So far, yes. You could see in my picture it’s a very clean with the pioneer.

It's dpf 11-15

I understand dpf 11-15 is the bezel/face-plate that one would use instead of the Toyota OEM to avoid the use of adapters which make the aperture the standard double din size. I also understand dpf 11-12 is a bracket one would use in conjunction with the Toyota OEM to fit a standard double din stereo. Am I confused on this?

Oo. Yup, sorry.
I'll go look in my box and see if I have any leftover, side adapters that is

Do you want one?

Can anyone confirm that the pin-out/wire colors are the same in the 100 as in the t4r in this FACTORY BACK UP CAM TO AFTERMARKET HEAD UNIT DIY? I'm getting everything lined up to do this nav delete tomorrow. It's going to be a big couple of days as I'm trying to get the CC/headunit swap done with the back up cam and also aftermarket amp install done at once.

I followed that post. In the end I had to swap the red and black. positive camera and positive video I think.
I think that if you take your time and follow that compared to the factory wiring manual it should be that hard to do it right the first time.
slow is fast in all that wiring.

oo, sorry, the colors are not the same. you have to identify which ones are which. If you don't have the wiring book I could post a pic.

Ok. Thanks. I don't have the wiring book for my '06. If you could post a pic, that would be great.

Actually, I do have the 2004 wiring diagram. I’m trying to figure out what’s what currently in that...

I did the camera conversion in my 07. I found the little voltage converter transistor at a nearby electronic parts store. Here is a picture of the wiring diagram for 2007

This is how I think I wired it:
T21:
Pin 39 Camera Video+ is red to rca
Pin 40 Camera video - is brown to rca shielding
Pin 20 Battery(6v) is black from transistor 6v out
Pin 19 Ground is white connected to body ground nearby

My transistor gets 12v from pin 5 of the T22 connector(see picture ), and ground from body ground
Also you can get a reverse signal from there too.

Thanks! That helps. Did you use a 1.5a fuse? All I could find is 2a where I am.

Man, this project has got my head spinning!

Can someone point me in the right place to find speed sensor wire to put into the head unit? I’ve been pouring over the wiring diagrams but am having a hard time.

Violet wire, one in m5 another under the pass seat a T connector, t21 maybe. Toyota purple looks like tan colored.

Like this one?

Looks like it’s not used so I can just cut it?

Yup. As long as it matches the wiring position. That looks like Toyota violet.

edit. it is pin 25, looks like your thumb is on it. If You're using my adapter it doesn't pass through so yes, cut away.

Cool. Thanks.

This project has been kicking my ass. I thought I had some audio install skills until now. I keep hitting road blocks. My latest issue is with the lack of room behind the CC/audio panel. I knew it would be tight, but damn. I've been moving stuff all around behind there to make space. Rerouting wires, etc. to no avail. I've measured the depth and there should be enough room. I'm not finding it. I'm only finding wits end. 16 hours in and so close...

Funny thing is, the CC conversion was easy, especially with @jerryb 's harness.

End rant.
