There is a button sequence to press and hold to change it. I’ll try to find it for you.

Edit again. Sorry, didn’t realize it was the bottom. I skimmed.

Edit... here.

the lower readout can't be changed.

the one thing I did find out a long time ago was other forums have info about changing the non nav into nav equipped units and then alter the ac amp to output C° instead of F° and add auto climate control.

you can leap pretty easily to the idea that it's not necessarily set by the AC amplifier and sent on to the heater panel boards.
But the combination with different AC amp boards and different heater boards between two models and a 5 year stretch makes it difficult to get correct information about which AC and heater boards go together for each specific region.
At least it was easy to stay with left hand drive.

it's C° times 1.8 + 32 = F°
easier not to translate, just accept it, know that 20 is good 35 is hot and 50 = don't go outside.

Well, I just ordered parts so we will see how long this takes.

I may be dreaming, but I've completed the nav delete and would like to only upgrade the head unit for now. Is there any way to retain the factory amp without hacking into things? I'm currently using metra 70-8113 for the stereo harness. The head unit is powering up, but no sound. I've tried connecting via RCA's as well as speaker wire with no luck.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I went back and read the entire thread (again) and have concluded that most folks are bypassing the factory amp even though only a few have specifically stated this. So I'm guessing my dream of using the factory amp with an aftermarket head unit is dead. Given this, any advice on where to cut into the factory speaker wires after removing the factory amp? I HATE cutting factory wires but this seems unavoidable. How many inches back from the harness is a good place to cut? I would like to be able to put it back to factory spec at some point in the future.

I cut all of mine right at the amp. You can leave enough to splice back together if you want. I felt the same as you, that one day I may restore it to factory. After all the work I’ve done, I have no desire to restore to factory, this car is a part of me. Lol.

Here’s a listing of the speaker wire colors. The front left will come out of a different location though, so you will need to track that down. It’s still with others, you just tap into it in a different location.

Here’s a link to the thread where I posted some related info.

Howdy all. I have a complete nav-delete kit with all components (including the jerryb harness) for sale. I posted the details in the classifieds here. This kit should be good for all 06-07 LCs. I know many of these parts are getting hard to find so here is a solution to save yourself months of searching.

Included parts:

Cheers

Note: I will not part individual components out of the kit since I don't want to have to make 10 individual sales.

Hey all. I sold the Nav-Delete kit to a Mud member. He had already purchased the jerryb harness for a 06-07 LC so he did not take it in the sale. Short story: I have a 06-07 jerryb harness for sale. $200 + shipping. PM me if you are interested.

Whoever was on my list to purchase a set please get this one from stickly, if any problems arise I can fix, replace or redo if a wire breaks or whatever. That price is the same as my price so same cost. Also, that harness is downward compatible so it's good for all years.

Excellent write up. I did one one of these back in 2015, and how I wish I found this thread then as it would have saved me ALOT of time. Great work.

Does anybody have a source for the non-nav brackets? They seem to be getting scarce.

I have a complete NAV swap (including Jerry's harness) for a 2005 LC for sale. I haven't added up my receipts yet so I don't have a price to post. I know someone just sold their's for what they are into it, but I don't know what that was. There was definitely some leg work in finding and putting everything together.

If you're interested send me a PM. I'm in Layton, UT. I'm fine to ship it or let you pick it up and I'll help you with the swap.
