Portsmouth island trip2018 canceled (1 Viewer)

I know it sucks ,but Portsmouth 2018 has been canceled due to hurricane florence, the water and septic shower too badly damaged, so the island is closed the rest of the year. Make sure your ferry reservation is canceled also.

My 4 year old and 2 older kids have been out there 5 or 6 times. I’ll be going this time, need to figure out how many and which days. Last time we got a cabin for myself and family.

why couldn't you take kids? It's a big ass beach!! Maybe not babies or toddlers.

If I was bringing kids I would get my own cabin, camp or share a cabin with another family with kids. As a single guy I would not want to share a cabin with kids. It's a great experience for kiddos.

Dang it. I really want to go on this trip. Unfortunately I will be working until 19 NOV. so I will miss being able to go by a few days.

I've confirmed with the Ferry that @SeanLX and I are on the 1pm ride on Thursday and currently the 945am ride on Sunday. If the 1145am slot has more people sign up, we will go with the later time instead.

Since the 1:00 ferry is full, I had to book on the 9:00 a.m. ferry, which will be difficult to make unless we drive down the night before and stay somewhere closer to the launch point. She said that if enough people sign up, they would probably do another afternoon ferry. So, if you're not currently booked on a ferry, you should call her. You'll need a credit card to hold your spot.

What return ferry are you on ? There are spots on the 745 am Sunday ferry

For those going, if you are not on the 1pm Thursday ferry, make sure you call to make reservations ASAP ,we have some spots on the Sunday 7:45 ferry, if you want to get an early start on the long drive home. Just make sure to tell Kari you are on the 745 when you reserve your arriving ferry.
