As per usual, another super clean, original truck. Posting it here for the enthusiast before it gets listed publicly. I doubt we'll find another one quite like it
This is a beautiful example of an all origina, Japanese market HZJ70. These were shortest wheelbase version of the 70 series sold. This model is the direct successor of the FJ40 Land cruiser. A rugged, utilitarian, capable mountain goat of a truck. Not to be mistaken with the LJ, or Prado Land cruisers, this is the heavy duty 70 series, a significant step up from the Prado. Purchased new in Tochigi Japan, from Tochigi Toyota in 1995 this LX trim example is quite well optioned, and spec’d out to be as tough as they came. Boasting the largest available powerplant you could put in a 70 series at the time, the 4.2 liter diesel 1HZ engine. Known for it’s everlasting simplicity and reliability. This truck was also optioned with the heavier duty rear full floating axle with included factory limited slip differential. The factory front ” park bench” beefy chrome bumper houses a factory Toyota electric winch, too. Still wearing it’s original coat of paint, Toyota 4M7, Oyster Pearl, this is a highly original truck, both inside and out. The body and undercarriage are free from corrosion and rust, it has been well preserved, which is a rarity in the land cruiser world. At Ottoex, we only strive for the most original, best kept examples for inventory, and this one is no exception. It is nearly impossible to find these trucks in this highly original state after 25+ years, but this one appears to have been very well preserved. Only some slight fading and peeling of clear coat is present on the front left fender top surfaces. The interior presents like new. Everything is there, and works as it should. All original floor mats are present in front and back. Original ownership literature in it’s original dealer jacket is included as well as the two original factory Toyota keys. An upgraded pioneer head unit is present, with a well functioning radio and CD player. Only the two second row headrests are missing and not included.
