Due to operator error my motor was replaced at 221K. Like everyone else...it could have gone a lot further with a little care.

There's a reason why the U.N. got rid of their Rovers and replaced them with Land Cruisers.

228k

im doing mine now at 228k because I think i popped a HG.

265,000 no replacement.

But considering HG replacement as PM....

230k and no sign of weakness.

240K, running well but burning gas and oil. Contemplating when I will need rebuild or swap.

Did my HG at 189k. Rebuilt the top end. I had an HG leak at cylinder 1. Other than that, I don't expect to do any more work.

61k? What failed?

108k? What failed?

I've owned 5+ Toyotas with over 200k and have never had to rebuild the bottom end of any of them, but I guess its luck, or bad luck in some peoples cases. Geez... : (

My 96 LX was rebuilt by previous owner (because he owned the Lexus dealership) at 40,000 miles. It has over 340K miles since then and doing great. No tranny or engine work since then.

My '00 LX has 244K and absolutely nothing done to engine or tranny.

Head gasket at 61k. Hydro locked from antifreeze.

Head gasket at 295k. Perfect excuse to build it the way I wanted.

I had an FJ40 with 540k miles. All original but head rebuilt twice.

Two 60s. One with 270k and the other with 200k.

Blew HG at 342,0000Km (205,000 m) did all the seals cleaned everything, valves, milled head, injectors, tanked the rad, now running like a top and 7 degrees cooler!

One 1993 with 300k and still going and one 1993 undergoing head gasket replacement (#1 cylinder) and head rebuild at 189k. The 300k motor was meticulously cared for by the original owner and the 189k motor was obviously abused.
