Congrats a second time

Made the right right decision.

Driving a Hyundai is like my friend who is married to a huge woman. He constantly justifies to us how nice she is

HAHA! that video was awesome. So, I found a mint 2008 200, 1 owner, super clean car fax, literally never went over 5000 miles without a trip to the (same) dealer, everything is completely stock, down to the factory tires. The previous owner even took it to the dealer to replace the license plate light... Car was for sale for less than a day, 8 people had called about it, but I put a down payment on it first, and signed a contract.
I'm planning to pick it up either friday or saturday. I'm really excited. I saved a bunch of money too, as I payed 24k for it!
Now I have some money left over to build the 100.
At the end of the day, I couldn't bring myself to drive an "appliance", with no soul. I could just see myself justifying it to my buddies, "yeah dude, its great, errrr, value... bang for the buck, ya know? and it has apple car play.... yawn..."

It has a 130k on it. I'm not too concerned about mileage, as long as it was maintained properly.

If I were you I'd get my butt down there and pay for that truck ASAP. Putting down a deposit doesn't always guarantee you it is yours, someone else could offer a higher price and drive it away, and the salesman could say "Oh, didn't know you had a deposit, sorry about that. Here's a free keychain for your trouble". Happened to me earlier this year with a GX470.

I'll definitely post a couple of pictures. Once I get home tonight I'll sign a bill of sale and send it to them. I already told then that I can wire the money as soon as they tell me where I need to send it.
I actually bought it from a land rover dealership that traded it in for a new Range Rover.

No it's up in Chicago, but the car came from Missouri. It was just traded at this dealership, all they do is trade in cars, and only keep them if they are really clean. The salesman just sent me a couple of videos and it looks great!

So I've been looking for a 200/LX570 for two months now, and its getting discouraging.
I have about 40k to spend and I've been looking for a clean southern or western truck with excellent service history. This will be our daily driver, my wife's mainly, so we need the 3rd row to haul kids around. We are keeping our 100 to turn into a camping/adventure rig.
I randomly drove by a hyundai dealer and stopped in because they had a LX470 on their lot that looked great. Long story short, I test drove a hyundai santa fe, and it was great. It had everything in terms of tech a 2017 LX 570 had. As much cargo room as my 100, fold flat seats, all wheel drive and a center diff lock. Oh and it had a full panoramic glass roof. This thing was loaded! 290 hp / 315 ft pounds... AVG 20 MPG.
10 year/100k mile powertrain warranty, 5 year/60k bumper to bumper. Best part, 37K out the door.
Am I crazy? Please talk me out of it.....

Go ahead. And kick yourself every time you see an LC or 570 drive by.

I am late to the party here but sounds like you will be happy with your decision. Personally, I am not into the hyndai's. Unless I was robbing banks I couldn't drive something which blends in so well (IMO).

I was actually going to recommend taking a look at a wagon over an SUV as the 2nd vehicle. Better gas mileage and unlike a crossover- you have something that comes with COMPLETELY different driving charectoristics than your 100 or truck. Still can also get all wheel drive.

So go ahead- post a pic of the new rig!

Here it is! Flew up to Chicago Saturday morning and drove back. I was even on time for my sons soccer game.
The dealership was a pleasure to work with. Put it up on a lift to inspect everything. No cam leak. Block and undercarriage was dry as a bone. I'm pretty sure the drivers seat was the only seat used on this car. The batteries in the remote and the headphones for the DVD player expired in in 2009! Hitch was brand new. There were a couple of scratches that were touched up and a little dime sized dent on the hood that I'll probably have taken out.
Best part is my wife and kids love it and I get to start building the 100. Also, the 200 is older and I didn't pay a fortune for it, so that makes me not worry about scratches and food in the car, as much as let's say a $75k cruiser with a $1000 dollar payment!
All that said, it pays to be patient and not comprise.
