I live in Eureka, CA and really need a good shop for 04LC.
Checked the search, but nothing really came up.
There is Murtak?? in Sonoma, but that's 5 hours.
Just regular work like TB, brakes, etc.
Love to do work myself but can't afford to hurt my hands.:D

Gary Kardum...aka Mudrak in Sonoma. Worth the drive...

If you just need some small maintenance etc, try Rockys Off Road: 25 3rd st in Eureka. Tell Rocky and Donna that Onur sent ya. :)

My Home town representin' Yo :D

For mods and big stuff Mudrak has a great rep and I would certainly consider the trip.

I cant comment on Beno's recommendation but I doubt he would want to mar his reputation by giving you a bad recommendation so I would definitely check it out. One thing I know about Eureka - the choices are limited which can make the prices high :)

Another option:

Contact Sean Wilson at OK Tire in Saint Helena. Does killer work and has tons of knowledge regarding all Toyotas. Very nice guy.

Tell him Ryan sent you.

Thanks guys.
I will call your recommendations.
Reading the forum for a while, beno seem to have much respect as well.
I dont mind trip to those good folks. Price of living in a smalltown.

Is there a chaper type meet in sonoma, santa rosa area ?
Love to meet some of you folks.

Let me rephrase what I said, I am a huge supporter of Mudrak...always have been always will be. My recommendation was based on living in Arcata for 6 yrs. :) having a shop close by for regular maintenance items seems to fit Rockys shop. Id take my rig to Gary if I was doing a resto, a lift, an H55 swap, etc...things outside of normal maintenane.

Regards.
Onur

I let few people work on my Lc and (sorry beno) someone versed in jeeps would not be my first call. There's a bit of a bad rep there now.
I've had Gary(Mudrak) work on mine with great results. Others say the same. He is a Toyota expert and darn nice guy. It's a bit of a drive but he isn't an ass and he's a fellow mudder.
Good luck,

Good to know Russ. Thanks for the 2nd opinion. I've merely heard about them and have supplied a few parts to some of his work.
