I have an M416 and would like to add a new axle and hubs to match my FJ40. The trailer frame width is 41” and the spring center is 39”. I am using a 10" steel wheel on the FJ40 with 3.5” backspace. I am also running 33x12.50x15 BFG MT tires.
I would also like to add electric brakes some day, does the WMS to WMS change? Will a 55” axle be the correct width for the trailer?

What axle width would you order, WMS to WMS?

Thanks!:bang:

What's the track width of your 40? Most try to match up the trailer to the tow vehicle.

If you can mock up the tires and make a measurement between them, is probably the easiest way.

I have the same trailer and just did a spring over but i reallt enjoy the way it tracks noiw. Have you had problems with it tracking ? Great Looking set up you have

Help me do the math

Thanks Guys,

I did the spring over on the trailer and it sets perfect with the cruiser. I wanted to add a custom axle and hub to match the track and the wheels on the cruiser. The track is pretty close and seems very stable if the trailer is loaded correctly. I was wondering if someone else has a simular setup that I'm seeking. The cruiser measures at about 55" WMS to WMS. I'm not comfortable with my build and thought I would ask...

Here is a shot of mine since I did the lift on the 40 I need to make a drop hitch for the trailer. Again you have a nice set up
