-Consider changing gearing while lockers are installed. Personally I'd go with 4.88's with that size tire and the added weight.

-Recent reviews on Optima batteries have not been good. Some say it is due to a change in company ownership (Johnson Controls). Sears Diehard Platinum seem to be good value and with a good warranty. They are manufactured by Odyssey.

-Consider getting the higher output ARB compressor for airing up tires in addition to activating lockers.

-TJM snorkel eliminates OEM antenna... if that is of any consideration

-FR tank fuel filler hose will not pass CA smog visual due to lack of leaded fuel restrictor

And lastly, I want to buy this 100 from you when you get bored of it. ;)

Take a look at having your headlights retrofitted with a good Hid projector. I had a the Lexus LS430's retrofitted(widest beam pattern on market). Then I used Desno ballasts, and Phillips 4300k bulbs. The output is awesome and looks stock.

Also give Slee's front and rear bumpers a hard look...I think they are a little nicer than ARB's.

As Hoser noted think about regearing. Also FZJ80 locker switch is a nice mod.

You might consider a roof rack for that tent.

Welcome to Mud:flipoff2:

In my opinion Slee's front bumper looks like s***, but I would recommend his rear bumper over anything else that on the market. It's very well designed/built. Kaymar also makes a sturdy rear bumper for the 100s. Your wishlist looks like you've included just about everything. Look forward to see the build up on MUD!

hoser: Thanks for thoughtful recommendations. Will regear. Looking into Sears batteries. Any suggestions for extra fuel capacity that are CA-compatible?

jasonbraswell: Thanks. I've been looking at racks. I saw the AEV JK RTT and I've been looking for a similar solution for a hundy. A full RTT without drag and bulk! AT- JK Habitat. I haven't found anything similar for hundy so will likey get a rack with wind deflector that will mesh with fiberglass RTT.

Sr. Gringo / Sverige Thanks for recommendation on bumper. Any differences in towing capacity for ARB vs. Slee? Any disadvantages to Slee rear bumper?

The US market 03-07 100's also have their charcoal canister located above the spare tire and is in the way of all, off the shelf aux tanks that I know of.

Easiest solution is 2-3 fuel cans on a bumper swing out... Or roof rack.

Pics??

. . . . oh, and welcome!

Kaymar also makes a sturdy rear bumper for the 100s. MUD!

I'd heard the consensus was that Kaymars are the weakest of the 100 series rear bumpers. BOIR, Slee or 4x4Labs depending on what you want it to look like and where you live (shipping costs) seem to be among the beefiest and most modular. None of the companies that make rear bumpers for the 100 can legally comment on towing capacity because of the expense of having them tested. The only disadvantage of the slee is that it doesn't improve the departure angle in the way that the BIOR HC or 4x4Labs would. Also the 4x4labs integrates the hitch into the bumper.

To the OP: You've really done your homework! Welcome.

You might want to add the slee second battery tray to your list. It's designed for a Optima Yellowtop Group 34 sized battery though, I'm not sure the 35 on your list will fit. You might also want some blue sea fuse boxes to go along with the dual batt.

The ARB compressor isn't the best of filling up tires. The MV50 is faster. Anyone have another suggestion for that? Puma? Powertank?

Gamviti racks seem like the cheapest flat rack option for tents, although whatever rack system shane has been working on looks amazing.

Throw in some beefed up recovery brackets like the one Spressmon makes for the front. ARB tire repair kit, straps and winch kit, also?

Amazing list though. This will be a hell of a 100.

To all: Do the 2007s have the Starter Contacts problem that plagues us 2000-ers?

SUBSCRIBED! Great list, only a few changes I would do. Lot's of echoing Hoser here.

If you are installing lockers (good choice) and running 295s you might as well do gears at the same time. A great upgrade for any truck that wheels. you get benefits even with 33s.

Go with a Slee Rear bumper, superior in every way to the ARB. looks better, higher clearance, better build quality. As for front bumper, it's a matter of taste. I wanted high clearance, good looks and functionality so went with Slee, some want more of an expedition look and the ARB is great for that and also provides more bambi protection but loses a little clearance.

Forget the Optima batteries. Go with a DieHard Platinum Group 31 for the main and a 34 for the AUX, and while you are at it use the IBS Dual battery System. If you read through the countless threads on both you will see why.

Good choice on the NL fridge, I have the same model and wouldn't trade it for the world, that and my trasharoo were the best purchases I've made.

Think about why you need the FR fuel tank. You will lose a lot of clearance and add a ton of weight when full. are you really going to need to go 600+ miles on one tank of fuel. Consider getting some 4 gal rotopax instead. Maybe 1 for the Slee ladder carrier and 3 on the roof.

treetop, if you just recently purchased the 2007, I'd just recommend getting sliders, winch and front bumper. Drive it awhile and then decide. That 35" tire is a slippery slope and most every mod is a compromise one way or another.

LC 100 '06-07 mods differ quite a bit from early models. I just finished the McGrew Trail pre-run with the family. Three kids, wife, tent, lots of camping gear, etc, etc. 2006 LC hundy was 7600 lbs on the way home as per highway weigh station. I have 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers and with the engine/HP and transmission have had absolutely no problem what so ever with gearing on the trail or on the mountainous roads in southern Oregon. The extra 1.5" in the 295/70R/18 adds a little to ground clearance, but shouldn't require regearing even with ARB front/Slee duel swing out rear bumpers and full Slee skid plates.
I put ARB's new CKMTA12 in the engine compartment where the AHC reservoir was and TJM front and rear lockers. Twin air compressor is awesome! TJM have few moving parts, no O-rings, and are just as proven as ARBs. Unlikely to leak oil etc into air line because there is no O-ring to wear out, so don't have to purge the lines.
I really like my White Knuckle sliders! As long as it is a wish list, talk with Carl at Just Differentials about their 98-07 LANDCRUISER 100 SUPER DELUXE SUSPENSION W/ UCA & KING 2.5". Designed for the 100 series and are a stellar sysem! The 860 springs ride very nice in town and loaded on the trail.
Any way you look at it, it's going to run some $$$$$ for the entire list. Then, there will be more stuff to start a new wish list.

I don't think going to 4.88's would be a requirement either for the 5sp but if you are opening up the diffs to install lockers, the incremental cost to get gearing that is 19% higher would very much be worth it.

Forget the ARB locker, go with the TJM. It is about $100.00 less per axle, has less moving parts and I'm told "is more reliable". I just purchased one for the front from Just Differentials, waiting to install it, along with front and rear gears.

Also, don't go with the Optima batteries. use the Odyssey batteries. They are far better and about the same price. I've used these in every vehicle and motorcycle I've had for the last 14 years.

I'd look into an air tank too if you still have room.

You also didn't mention anything about audio. What's your sound system/navigation going to be like?
Are you going to have an inverter too?

One more thing, you might think about would be a drawer system for all you recovery gear, tools, etc.
