Hey looking for advice on what I perceive to be a problem, 62 pitman arm “should” fit on the new 80 box, but I’m hesitant to torque it without full threads engaged.

Any words of experience?

It looks clean to me, so not binding on rust. Did you count the spines? My buddy was doing a Subaru clutch - he just couldn't get it to fit. Turns out there was some weird application that had 31 spines instead of 30 - It went right on with the correct part. I would use some kind of lube and a hydraulic press to install it, then pull it off clean it, re-install with some thread sealant to protect those little spines. What does the book say for procedures?

Looks like the Chinese aftermarket box.
That’s how they are.

105 sector shaft instead of 80 series sector shaft in the steering box?

Totally different spline count and diameter. 60/80 won’t even start to engage on those

Pulled it off and put some oil on things, much better.

Thanks all for chiming in 👍🏻
