Hello! Newbie here! I picked up a project 72 awhile ago and now need to sell due to needing to pay bills. It's a clean CA title and currently registered. I had to do a heart transplant with an original unopened 73 40 motor w/trans-tcase. The way old man a fre header is totally warped and almost like swiss cheese. Other than that the 72 is complete, running, could be DD with only minor work and includes cancer for no extra charge. It needs the drivers floorboard repaired and minor rust issues in the usual places. Contact me for more details and I'll be happy to discuss them. The location is Sacramento, CA. I'm asking a reasonable 1500 with motor/trans/tcase and 950 without. You can contact me here or at jclg_ca@yahoo.

The parts are.........

Hood (72, straight, minor surface rust) - $150
Doors (later model, straight, minor surface rust, rounded edge, no wing windows, complete minus mirrors) - $100 each
Tailgate (later model, straight, minor surface rust, one minor dent, complete, PO said window mech worked) - $200
Oil baths (minor surface rust with good filters) - $15 each
Gear boxes (PO's said to work) - $25 each
72 F155 (new cam, PO said frozen but possible, I found other issues due to his ineptness, I would rebuild for PC, I just want the paperweight gone) - $75

Any questions please don't hesitate to contact, we are moving and need the funds ASAP so any reasonable offers will be considered, ie prices are NOT set in stone

Thanks for looking

Update; the rear quarters had been chopped level so no rust , just a bit of tlc needed to close the opening on the inside wells. The rockers are in good shape. Roof appears to be in good shape as far as rust is concerned. The rear fender wells have been trimmed as well so they also need to have a bit of tlc for closure. Mostly a bit of clean up is needed but the worst is on drivers side floor board about a mud flap size where the fender and body meet with the body mount. Body mounts from frame are great, body body mounts are in good to questionable shape. Sorry, not a welder, just wanted to clean things up until I had to money to take to a welder. Now I'm late on my mortgage and need to sell Frankie ASAP!

I have been driving it quite often this way and the only thing that I would suggest to repair first would be the left side of drivers floor board so you dont get wet when it rains and replace the leaky header for obvious reasons. I drive with the windows open.

*****I have decided to create another option . I am asking $1500 for the running piggy, $1800 with all extra body parts and mech stuff and only $950 for piggy without motor/trannie/tcase. This is a running driving project that I need to sell to get my mortgage paid ASAP or I would keep him.

Had another thought, could the frame be used with a different body? I was wondering about using the frame, getting a 45 cab then tubing a rear bed like some trucks do. Just trying to weigh my options if I'm able to keep him or if someone else wants to try.........

We sold the pig :(

parts still available :)

I still have a 72 for sale in North Dakota. Willing to take reasonable offers.

You would probably be best served starting a new thread. Good luck!

x2, best thing to do is start a new thread of your own. That way you can describe your Pig to the nth degree without imposing on someone else's thread.
