When I went with the wheels I have now, I had four criteria in this order 1) Need to be 17" for the tires I already got a outrageous deal on. 2) I wanted a wide rim so the tires fit properly. Preferably a 8.5-9.0 inch wide. 3) They need to be inexpensive so when the rocks are scratching and gouging them up I wouldnt care. 4) They have to look decent - something I could live with. I ended up with these 17x9 wheels.

OEM Steelies are, IMO, the best rims to truly make the 80 series into what we see overseas.
Onur, Those look a lot like the stock steelies' on my 82' truck?
They are actually very close part number wise.
That said, the mini's of that era had 15" wheels.
These are the correct OEM steelies that were shipped on 80 series rigs to non-US markets.

The only ones I have see are the "black teflon" but apparently there is a raw one as well. The black teflon is actually a very dark grey, not jet black. It's a lot like the color of a dark teflon pan, kind of milky or opaque.
Here ya go bro, you will notice some piss marks on the tires, this is the work of the neighbor's catlol.
Where did you get those hubcaps. I have a 40th, but the hubcaps have a gold emblem. I'm not sure, but I think they are wrong. I need to find out what the 40th had or find some like yours.

Here's mine with the Bronze Duplicolor. I have to say it was an experiment and I have gotten tons of compliments on them. Different, but looks cool with lots of different colors

My favorite combo on mine is what's on it right now: refurbished 40th anniversary OEM rims with 315/75/16s (34.8").

I gotta say I'm kinda surprised at the lack of more aftermarket wheels in this thread. I know a lot of people still run the OEM wheel (including myself) but I would think more people would have changed things up. Here's my OEM's painted black with a touch of color. Tires are 315 MTRs
Box Rocket Those are great looking! I think the problem is that unlike most stock wheels, the 80 wheels are actually pretty cool. I have seen some on here that are just fugly. Not going to mention names. To each his own. I'm sure plenty dislike my bronze!
dimkaPDX...Those are probably my favorite wheel so far. for sure my favorite if you take out the stock 80 wheels that are painted, etc. I love that look!
