Anybody have some? I'm going to fabricate my own front bumper to start with. Just wanted to see what would look good and what would look bad.

Look in the FAQ there is a section with tons of photos of rear bumpers.

unfortunatly the FAQ is still broken and when you find the thread through a search the pictures are now gone :(

Yeah I tried the search function but all the pics are gone :'(

nyk438,

if you run across some good ones, let me know. I was thinking about doing the same thing! What have we got to lose, right? It's only steel and some welding stuff. :)

I've got some saved from past posts and other web sites.
If u want to see them let me know and I can email them to u.

Posted them up if you do not mind. You know this will be asked again and again.

Here is one I found from a on Pirate4x4 and a copy of the e-mail I recieved back from the owner.

"I will get some more pics soon that have the tire mounted and it finished. when I do I will just start a thread and include all the details. I trimmed the 1/4 panels myself. hacked the frame and bolt a new cross member our of 5/16h 4x2 box steel. then I had they bumper bent/fabbed up by a shop in SLC that does sweet work.

HOLESHOT OFFROAD. magicworkers@netzero.net 801 5770253. They are located in salt lake city.

I am out of my home state for about 2 months but if you wanted more pics sooner email Josh or Trent and I am sure they would be cool with shooting you some pics.

I purchased a spindle from 4x4 labs (4x4labs.com) and the everything else is customer. the way they mounted the tire is super trick as well. I will try to get pics of it but they use these nylon cones and a threaded (like a huge wingnut) to attach it all and it has turned out great.

Hope that helps.
let me know if there is anything else I can do

Jared"

Here is the bumper we built at our shop for my truck...

Here is a shot with it off the truck...

If you looking to build your own bumper, we can provide just the center winch mount plate. This plate bolts onto the front frame rails (top and bottom) providing a secure mounting point for the winch. This would make a great starting for bending your own bumper. The winch mount plate is $199.

Chris - thanks for the pics of your front bumper thats very close to what I'm looking to make. It'll be awhile before I'll be able to get a winch, thanks. Also, is there a way to mount lights on the front bumper you've fabricated?

Hey Chris, what does that thing weigh? How strong are those wings? I notice you did gusset them but I am concern that a strong wack from a rock might send them into the sheet metal. I really like the design and extra ground clearance. Any info would be appreciated.
