Is the hitch part of the bumper or a seperate bolt on?

I do like it. Much better than what I have now.

Hitch Is Seperate

i made that last summer.used a 110v welder on everything. came out ok! i've got some different  's. saw a carrier that was 2x2 stock, with a front hub as a pivot. it also had lock out hub to keep it secure i guess. i realy like the spindle idea. ;)

Nice. I need to switch mine around like that. I have the stock, under the truck, tire carrier.

I like it, but my only concern is that there isn't any support up at the top bracing it to the body anywhere.

Seems like over time, it would cause a great deal of wear - might tourque the bumper a little, it seems.

Hey everyone! I need some quick help. I'm got a quote for replacement of master and slave in '84 fj60, parts & labor were $386+tax. Anyone with some advice on this please reply.

sound like a great deal to me

Is your tail light covered up? Local Fuzz may not like your idea as much as us. :)
actually, that pipe runs right down the center of the light. at night it burns pretty good. you can see it no problem. :D

I made this one last week from scratch and after getting it painted- it looks great. Here's some unpainted pics. I'll take some now that it's painted.

Here's the arm:

All opened up at the crib:

It's a hinge they use for up to 800lb steel gates. I got it for $26 and it overbuilt for this application.

i'll have to see if home depot has something like that.......THANX!!!

@ 2badfjs, tire carrier looks great! But wouln't the sliders work better on the truck in stead on in the truck! :) :)

How about a shot of it with the tail gate closed and carrier locked into place.

Great work!

how about this....

they would be better on the truck, but....those were sent to groucho this morning. and here are your pics :D
