So I ran into a problem on my 06. Got to the right connector but there is not a green wire with a red stripe. I tried the other 3 green wires in combination with the white/black stripe but no luck. Has anyone else run into this? Attaching a pic of what I have. Thanks. This is gold! Thanks for taking the time to help everyone out!
mine are working but can’t we just pull the gauge cluster and yank out the bulb to get rid of the annoying light?
Maybe my eyes are bad...but it looks like the far right wire is green with red stripe. Make sure you get good contact on the wires, especially if using vampire connector. So I ran into a problem on my 06. Got to the right connector but there is not a green wire with a red stripe. You are right after looking closer at the pic it does look red but in person it appears more brown. Anyway, I stripped both wires and connected them with a small wire nut but still have the light on. About ready to pull the instrument cluster and wrap the bulb with elect tape...lol. Not sure what else to try. I have done this same procedure on a GX470, FJ, and a 4Runner before with no problems. Very frustrating. Thanks for your reply!Maybe my eyes are bad...but it looks like the far right wire is green with red stripe. This comment saved my sanity this afternoon! Thanks for the writeup, good timing since my TPMS dash light just came on! One small note of clarification, the wires you are looking to splice are the green one with a small red stripe, and a white one with a black stripe. My car also had a black wire with a white stripe which I left alone. Worked great, got 2 quotes of $360 and $301 to change out 4 sensors. Not sure but there might be a sensor in the spare also. Glad to not have to worry about it ever again!
Just wondering. Can’t you just open up the gauge cluster and take the bulb out?
