Here is the center dash sheetmetal for the '74. My 40 is a '77 and the dash is exactly the same, so I assume this would be an accurate dash for '74 - '77 FJ40's. The '78 changed to have the brake/seatbelt warning lights just to the right of the gauges.

Originally, I was thinking someone would need to cut out their old hacked dash and weld this one in. But after looking at it for a while and looking at my 40, I think it could be a lot easier. The idea was to cut out the replacement right at the start of the radius around the edges and glue it into place. The upper edge will be covered by the dash pad. The lower edge will be mostly covered by the lower pads. The visible edge would be along the crease to the inside of the gauge cluster and glove box opening.

The top right hole is a little wallowed out to an oblong shape. My '77 40 has a blank plug in that hole.

Roll Bar Brackets from the '74.

They were carefully cut from the rear tubes. They have surface rust, but should clean up well and look good with some paint. If using on your roll bar, be sure to weld them in as they were from the factory.

The rear tub (door strikers back) on the '74 is already sold.


I would love to cut out any sections of the cowl or firewall that anyone might need. It looks to have a good right inner/outer rocker and a good left inner rocker.

The '78 has a cracked block, and no other driveline parts other than the bellhousing. The '74 has even less.
