That is the PN.
That's how I found this old thread.

What I am in need of is the plastic connector that disintegrated in my hand.
Someone on Facebook mentioned they found one that worked from Ballenger Motorsports, but gave no more info.
I called up Ballenger and they couldn't help without more info.

Do you have a link to what worked for you?
And was the sensor or the connector stamped "Made in Italy"?
Reviving an old thread for the same reason. Rehabbing the head and everything in there that's broken, most of which appears to be the connectors on the intake side of the head.

Did you ever find the housing you were looking for? It should be 90980-10157 for the W4, water temperature switch (A/C), but that's just the housing and not the terminals, which are needed if you wires or insulation are frayed (like mine are). Still looking for those.

Ballenger has the (E3) engine connector, P/N CONN-100317 (and kit if you need the housing, terminals and seals): P/N CONN-75820). This is the green connector housing, third from the front of the head, on the intake side.

Reviving this thread again. Does anybody know where we can find the connector itself, or can we just leave it unplugged and or bypass it?

It's really close to this DS-250 connector, but not quite:

Plugs into the same sensor originally posted in this thread. No issue leaving this unplugged or bypassing it by jumping it if it's not a problem.

Seems like we're all in the same boat.
Doing my headgasket and i've crumbled almost every connector i've removed and have repinned them all except this water temp AC switch.

Trying to source 90980–10184 does not seem possible. Is there another switch that comes with a pigtail to solder instead?

Just an idea, what if we found a similar sensor and replaced it with said sensor + pigtail? Something such as this:

Luckily this isn't a mission critical sensor and leaving it unplugged or without a connector will not affect the AC. The downside is that if we are overheating, the AC will remain engaged.

The problem is that it can't be a fan switch for normal electric fan radiators because of the temp where the switching happens.

Need to find a 230F temp switch

the engine harness side connector, 90980-10157, is NLA. It was used on every Toyota in the 90's and some in the early 2000s. Your best bet is to scour salvage yards and cut one off a harness.

This really sucks, because the sensor is readily available from mutliple sources.

I know this thread is for 80 series Land cruisers but is there a similar sensor on the 100 series cause the air conditioning to not come on?

Good question. Let me poll my herd and see.

Survey says: yes.

The A/C cutoff signal is the engine water temperature.

Here's a Different Gage but IDK if the threads are the same, FWIW
