I am considering adding LED turn signal but don't want to splice cables in my 16 LC. In the picture you see plug for front turn signal. Can anyone tell me what is the part # for the plug in the picture. I will need both the Male and Female version. Thanks!

Doesn't your '16 already have LED signals (and all LED bulbs)? There are so many connectors on an LC.........have you looked carefully on the connector and wire to see if a part number is stamped on it?

I just replaced my flasher relay to accomplish the same goal.

Amazon.com: 8-Pin 81980-50030 066500-4650 Electronic LED Flasher Assy Relay Fix For Lexus Scion or Toyota LED Turn Signal Light Bulbs: Automotive

Note: the mounting bracket doesn't fit between factory flasher and this. If you go this way you have to use tape, glue, velcro, etc... to secure the relay to the mounting bracket. Not a biggy but good to know ahead of time.

16+ don't have LED turn signals. Toyota was too cheap / insert reliability excuse here.

I have already converted original turn signal bulbs to LEDs. Every bulb in my car is led now. In the front I have put V3 from vleds.com. I am thinking about adding extended turn signals you can find on eBay (link below). If you notice they come with wrong plugs which do not fit US version. I want to avoid splicing cables and just make it plug and play. BTW for the V3 from vleds you don't need flasher as it already has resistor built in.

LED Turn Signal Flashing Light Retrofit Kit For Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 2016 - | eBay

Yea I looked at the V3's and didn't like the price. Changing the flasher allowed me to choose any LEDs I wanted in front and rear at a fraction of the cost. I also liked not having a resistor at each bulb. Plus with the flasher I picked I got the added the benefit of a one touch signal to lane change. (Another feature Toyota left off) But cost of v3 was the real turn off for me.

Your project sounds neat- I hope you'll post pics/video when you're done and show us how the retrofit turned out.

Here's your connectors 3rd party with the pins and wires included.

Here's the Toyota part numbers- build your own so to speak. Housings don't come with any pins or wires.
These numbers come from the connector repair manual. Linked below for reference.

90980–11016 (female 3 pin housing, without pins) -> Page 100 (D-10)
82998-12440 (female pin + wire, 160mm) -> Page 419 (F-3)
82998-12590 (female pin + wire, 500mm) -> Page 419 (F-3)

90980–11015 (male 3 pin housing, without pins) -> Page 253 (D-163)

Thanks NC237 BTW where is the location of the flasher. I have tried to use it for my setup initially but couldn't locate it in my 16. I have used it in all my previous cars and just followed the clicking noise. One touch turn signal like in BMW would be nice so maybe worth converting to that.

Here's the actual smart flasher that I used that adds that feature. The other link I added was just for LED.
Amazon.com: SmartTap CF18 (LM449) Flasher Relay: Automotive

Flasher location is under the dash, to the left and slightly below the steering wheel.

This thread has a nice write up with pics.

This also shows the pic of the RHD - which is similar, but located on the right side.

This is a RHD lc200. To get to the relay, remove the kick panel with 2 phillips screw. Unclip the 4 clips and you're able to see the knee aircond blower. Turn on the flasher and locate the sound of the clicking flasher. You'll see a small black box with 8-pin connector.

There's some vids on Youtube that teaches how to repair a signal relay. Or the easy way, use load resistors between the led bulbs wire. No cutting and soldering needed. Just splice them like in Youtube. Gud luck!

I have seen those instructions before how to replace the flasher (don't see pics but icons). I have not located the flasher when I have tried before. Does the 16+ has a different flasher? I really like the smartTap which would make a great upgrade in both mine and my wife's car.

Nope - no different flasher. Toyota uses the same flasher on a wide range of vehicles.
It's been the same one since 2008.

Stock part number is 81980-60110.

The flasher is recessed up in there quite a bit. You'll need a socket extension to reach the bolt.
You have to remove the knee airbag, the bottom panel, as well as the panel around the bottom of the steering wheel to get at it.
PDF attached for 2008-2015. (I didn't need to do steps 3 and 5 - I left those panels on)

While the flasher is the same the disassembly of the dash trim may be a bit different on the 2016+. But you can get the general idea and which parts need to come off.

Awesome! Very much appreciated. Will give one more try at it. Looks like I didn't look hard enough in a right place and tried to follow the clicking noise

I took all parts out and cannot find the flasher. Is the flasher making the noise or there is another device making the clicking noise? The noise is coming from above the wheel column from the right side

Yea the flasher is what clicks.

Toyota changed the location. The clicking seems to come from right side and above of the steering wheel and the flasher may be completely different as nothing there so far I see similar to replacement flasher. Looks like toyota did some bigger overhaul under the dash. The warming chime seems to come from the same location so maybe completely new relay. Looks like time to assemble everything back.

Sorry about that man. If they changed it - it's strange they wouldn't also have it tolerate LEDs without a resistor.
Not to mention if they changed it why they wouldn't add the one touch lane change.
The rav4 has it - why not spread it around...

One thing that surprised me the most that everything went led but left turn signals (understand), but license plate light doesn't make any sense. I have resistors for turn signals so I am still good, but would love to have the one touch three blinks like BMW.
