I have recently installed a SS header during my restoration. Not sure of the stock routing of the parking brake cable was under or over the trans mount. Is it ok to run the cable above the mount as shown to keep it away from the heat?

My biggest issue would be the right 180° bend and the binding the cable inside. When Toyota redesign the hand brake cable to go down versus forward the biggest that that gained was removing a sharp bend right at the firewall.
I just have the cable temporarily routed and not in its final position through the grommet and into the parking brake bracket. I will take that advice when I finalize the connection
