I have a set of 80 rims that look like they're very nice underneath the peeling paint.

Any product recommendations?

For the valve cover on my 22RE, Aircraft Stripper (from Pep Boys) worked great. Unknown to me was the powdercoat beneath the traditional paint, but with 2-3 applications of the stripper the powdercoat came off pretty well.

Just be very careful with that paint stripper... It BURNS like a mofo if you get it on your skin. I thought it was boring a hole thru my shin when I dropped a blob on it.
You also might want to test it on the aluminum 1st. I know certain products are not kind to aluminum.

Thanks guys. I'll try some of these and see how it goes...

Oven cleaner works on stripping bottom paint on Fiberglass boats. Not sure how it reacts with aluminum though.
