You also might check out the Astro vans. Some of them got hydro boost. I got the Astro pump and reservoir at a pic-n-pull and it looks the same. Just need to compare part numbers to see if they are indeed the same. I've also wondered if the complete Astro hydro set up would be worth trying.

The parts guy said that was the same pump as the astros and the astros would be way easier to find in the junk yard. If I were to do another Astro box conversion I would certainly consider running the whole set-up.

When I changed to external resevoir to support hydro-assist, I cut the top off the reservoir of a regular sag pump, capped it and welded a fitting on. It has always worked, and the extra resevoir on the pump is nice, but I was never sure what I would would replace it with were the pump to go south. Now I know!

It uses the same "P" type pump as fits in the regular reservoir so all the bolt holes are the same.
