I’ve been having issues with error codes 25 & 26 for a few years. I’ve replaced sensors and various emissions components, but it keeps popping up…sometimes after an hour+, sometimes during a 10 minute drive.

My smog guy suggested replacing the O2 wiring harness - specifically the female plugs that the connect the o2 sensors to. He suspects a janky connection, likely a faulty plug.

I figured it would be a cheap and easy fix to cross one more thing off the long list on my goose chase.

Does anyone have a part number or know where to source the o2 sensor plugs for an 88 FJ62? I see some online that look semi-universal…

I would recommend investigating and verifying you actually need to replace those connectors before diving - the one that goes over the transmission is not easy to get to.

However the other one does often not get installed properly and can rest against the exhaust downpipe, usually melting the wiring about 6" above the connector plug

I should have or should be able to get you those connectors if you really need them.

Thanks Matt - I’ll investigate further and see if it’s melted!

I have some long wires with alligator clips - do you know where i should connect on the engine / emissions side to test the wires for continuity?
