So I finally showed up at a Charlotte area meeting and I actually paid dues this week ....
Actual 1st Name: Sam
Your career, love it or hate it? I'm the CFO of a small speciality consulting firm in Charlotte. It is challenging, but I'd like to get back to manufacturing ... the career has not sucked, but it has not been perfect either. So that's a "mehhhh".
Hidden secret talent? I can screw up IT equipment like nobody's business ... just ask the IT managers who have worked for me
Weapon of Choice: For personal defense, a compact 1911 variant. For hunting, my lightweight .300 Win for bigger critters and the universal destructible .270 for medium size critters.
Best beer to have on hand if I show up would be ... none, I cannot have much alcohol any more
Engine work, body work or electrical work? Umm ... "Electricity is all smoke. The insulation on the wires keeps it in and when that breaks down, all the smoke comes out". I am pretty good at keeping the smoke in the wires.
Ultimate Landcruiser would be a free one that never needs maintenance ....
Best 'upgrade/mod' you personally did ? Got rid of the ex-wife ..
Your career, love it or hate it? I underwrite mortgage loan requests on ridiculously expensive houses for wealthy customers of Bank of American and Merrill Lynch. Although I have complained about the long hours, I really do like what I do. It's kind of like putting together a puzzle without the box, without all the right pieces and with pieces from some other puzzle mixed in.
Hidden secret talent? None that I'm aware of. I'm a jack-of-all trades, master of none.
I don't like to brag BUT I was the President of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association when I was 30.
Weapon of Choice: Sadly, I've only shot a few weapons ever. I still miss my Glock 23.
Best beer to have on hand if I show up would be a tallboy PBR. It seems to suit me.
Engine work, body work or electrical work? Yes, I know people to call and how to open my wallet for any of these three.
Ultimate Landcruiser would be a 1960's FJ45 LV or msontag03's 80, depending on my plans.
Best 'upgrade/mod' you personally did? It's a coin toss between the amp and speakers so I can listen to music and the forward facing fold and tumble rear seat for my girls. Not sure I could do without either one.
Your career, love it or hate it? Residential design/build and I love it!
Hidden secret talent? Fitting things in places that appear to be too small for said things
I don't like to brag BUT I'm really good at being an ass
Weapon of Choice: G32
Best beer to have on hand if I show up would be Most of the Dundees
Engine work, body work or electrical work? Definitely electrical, followed by engine work but I am good at tearing up body work
Ultimate Landcruiser would be Pretty partial to my FJ, but I do like the 45's. Of course that's likely to change as I meet more of your rigs
Best 'upgrade/mod' you personally did ? The heated seats are nice, but it's a toss up between the 9" screen in the sun visor or the custom HIDs in the ARB up front.
Ryan, this is a great club to be around, welcome. I am the SC step son and do not get to many events but have made some great friends and enjoyed getting out when Heather and I can get away.

Ill play, even though i have been around for while
Actual 1st Name: Parker
Your career, love it or hate it? Manager of Visitor Services for DC, it pays the bills
Hidden secret talent? I can play a lot of instruments, and can hold my own on the mic too
I don't like to brag BUT I'm really good at power drinking
Weapon of Choice: Right now, G19 or Benelli SBE
Best beer to have on hand if I show up would be Jack Daniels
Engine work, body work or electrical work? Ok on all for now, mine is a 2000 though
Ultimate Landcruiser would be SASed 100 with. . .just search white Rhino and add a cummins
Best 'upgrade/mod' you personally did ? Sliders, because they have saved me the most money. My high clearance, slidable, lower rear control arms are pretty nifty too.
