This summer spent a couple of days with a German couple that had sent over a 78 series Land Cruiser from Europe, and were spending a year or so traveling North America. Most of their fully kitted, pop up, diesel, were things I could only dream of someday.

But they had some absolutely brilliant front seat covers. Looked to be easily removable and washable, and absolutely RINGED WITH POCKETS !!!

By the end of even a short trip, I look at all the crap I got out and didn't ever really put away so it ended up on the floor under foot, and all the crap I wanted within arms reach that bounced around on the back & passenger seats.

Looking for seat covers that embrace the concept of copious pockets and making efficient use of the storage space around and hanging from the back of the front seats.

These particular seat covers had the Dakar logo, I but have not been able to find google search criteria to find something like that.

Seems to be a product targeted to the overland traveler, wondering if the folks in this forum could connect me with some vendors ?

Take a look at my '40 next time you are here. I have an inexpensive set like theirs but with more pockets I think. I also have another set of them still in the original packaging too. Simple enough to track them down once we look and see who made them. Or maybe you can talk me out of this set. ;)

Anybody with an industrial sewing machine could sew Velcro on the Tuff Duck seat covers that Spector Off Road makes or the Escape Gear Seat covers and do something like the G.E.A.R Seat Covers by Smittybilt... I'll drop a call to Spector tomorrow...since they make their own covers maybe they could offer something with optional
storage bags like the Smittybilt
Or buy the Smittybilt and have someone sew the back onto Tuff Duck or the Escape Gear

Yep, that is what our german buddies were using. Other than the name on them these are identical to what I have in my '40... and the set still in the box. Like I said Steve... see if you can talk me out of them ;)

Oh yeah, I got mine at Walmart years ago. We can take a look at the box , go a google and see if we can find them out there still for Walmart style prices. :)

Here is a couple of pics of the seat covers you are looking for, still in the packaging. There should be enough info showing there to track some down. :)

These are a lot more expensive and are sold s "jeep" seat covers... but seem to be heavier duty and to hold a LOT of stuff...

This is just what I found with a google entry of "cargo seat covers" and then "Winplus cargo seat covers and about 2 minutes of surfing.

I like the Smittybilt G.E.A.R. and Wet Okole seat covers...

I like the GEAR ones but the universal ones don't cover the bottom of the seat. Anyone know of a Jeep front seat fitment that will work for our 80's?

I bought the Smitty's and in 3 months they faded and tore. Not mil quality at all. They did replace them free though. I definitely would not recommend them.

Considering the Kings Arsenal over the Wet Okale, anyone use the KA?
