SILVER Star
My buddies Brian, Emory and I started the COBDR last Oct from CO/NM to Leadville before the weather turned us around. The plan is to finish up the trail then come home from WY. The northern half of this trail is much faster than the southern half from what Brian told me.
We'll be moving camp daily and will try to mix in some hiking and exploring. If this interests you, pipe up and be ready to meet us somewhere in San Antonito on Thurs, 9/20/18 in the eve sometime. We'll come up with GPS coord for the camp site that I can text out.
HAM radio will be our method of comm, as usual. The temps will be colder in the higher elev. Stock-rigs will do fine as this trail was setup by the pansy dual sport riders
who have small bladders so fueling/food options are frequent. There'll be mud I'm sure and possibly snow, who knows. Probably a 5 gal jerry can of fuel can be a good idea but I don't think will be necessary. If we have spare fuel then we can just stay in the bush and not come out for re-fueling.
I'll have my senior citizen Border Collie with me as usual but his days of doing this are numbered
