I am officially in, got the notice this morning. Should be an interesting venue

For anyone attending the full event, I will be teaching 3 classes with my co-host Kaley Cuoco :
  • Debunking radio communications for overlanding
  • Digital Navigation Options For Off The Grid Overlanding
  • Understanding Tread Lightly and Testing the Myths
The Tread Lightly class is open to everyone.

Attending again this year with the family, but camping off site. I'll look for you at the tread lightly class @Izzyandsue

@Izzyandsue I'll go to your Tread Lightly class but not the other two, since I'm not doing the Experience pass.

Who is camping at the venue? Maybe we can camp together.

Dont think Marshall is going this year.

We reserved a site at Twin Poplar farm on hipcamp. Right down the road and cheaper than onsite.

Agreed, but don't know how much cheaper could be, I am planning to be there Thursday thru Sunday. For daily pass, parking is $10 per day, staying at the venue allows you come and go to your campsite as you please (beer, food, rest, etc) and no driving. Based on my trip schedule I think the venue is the way to go, but looking forward to have a couple beers with you guys.

@Payara Offroad you are welcome to camp with us. References include @JohnVee @forrest5000 and @neslrac (for the food)

@1428Mike and I will be camping on-site. Can't promise a rowdy alcohol fueled weekend but we cook too much for just us.

Can’t speak to the others, but I’d be highly suspect of anyone citing @JohnVee or @forrest5000 as references.
If you doubt my opinion on these matters, all I can say is I have impeccable references, just call @JohnVee or @forrest5000, I’m sure they’d vouch for me...maybe...

@RedHeadedStepChild Your name is on my resumé references. Gotten any calls?

BTW, @Comet killed his truck in the same place you did the 4R in a few years ago. I had no involvement this time. Well, nothing physical, just a strong mental influence.

Thanks @Comet appreciate your invitation, will send you a PM to coordinate.

I had some plans fall through, so I'm debating going up Friday morning and camping Friday & Saturday night. For anyone who has done this before, are we going to be able to camp in a group or does it fill up first come, first serve? I didn't see any thread about members pulling in together. My only hesitation at this point is the $190 camping pass - that's pretty hard to swallow for a patch of dirt. It's making me consider just coming up on Saturday morning and then driving back home that evening.
