Did they make you get an FZJ80?

They’re so informative with our rigs. I think I’m going totry they’re latest fix.
DIY door satin paint on the window trim.
got to love they’re enthusiastic love for the 80.

While I appreciate some of the content, I have to say it can be rather “full of itself”. I’d personally rather get my info from you a$$holes and after reading days upon days of posts and getting :flipoff2: as a hello :).

Jk I don’t really know anything about them, but that’s my general reaction to anything to do with “overlanding”

The belt molding trim? Just buy new OEM's. Good for another 25 years.

YouTube "overlanding" has become ultra pretentious. So fake, so commercial. But they get views, so what do I know.

Overlandbound is generally OK, tolerable most of the time, IMHO. I like that 80, he beats that bitch.

When an ExpeditionOverland (XO) video pops up, I damn near puke. Like a freaking infomercial. "Here, spend $80K on a truck, and $50K on $hit to build it, and go camp with fancy coffee, craft beer, and weird people". WTF.

Yes, I'm subscribed to it haha. But that channel was one of the reasons why I got myself an 80 series.

I love all your comments about the guy, but he’s a real true 80 fan. 10 years of constant up keeps and keeping the rig true to its name is hilarious. 315’s, 2.5 inch lift Tried and true OME, keep it ol school ARB bumper, , ect. No turbo, bought a new motor to breath new life. Man I think majority of his DIY’s generated from what this forum was. Informational. I wonder when he does his next episodes it maybe better than the Joe Rogan rig. Money can’t buy you what you know like the back of your hand.

You right on that one too. Cause of him I got the OME lift as well with the ARB bumper. Saving up for the rear one now too $1700 lol.

Meh,....most haters are in denial. Go do some charity or something with your extra time. :flipoff2:

I understand a lot of people hate the guy, never really understood why, but the guy truly loves cruisers and 80s in general. I've followed him for awhile and enjoy his content every once and awhile. I know that he mentions MUD quite a bit and has probably actually been a member here for many years, mentions it in his videos.

I e been staring at mine thinking I need to do something like that. Thanks for posting

Haters gonna hate. The guy loves his truck, does some work on it himself, and takes it off-road. Why throw shade?
I'd bet money that if any Mud member put up the same number of hours of content he has on YouTube, he would get criticized, too.
We all have our quirks and features, guys. Give a little grace.

I like the passion he has, any cruiser content is good in my book. Sometimes he's not quite correct but who the hell cares, its good content to watch with a beer in hand.

Michael is a really good dude. He genuinely loves 4WD, Land Cruisers, and his business. He went from being a video game developer to doing this full time, and is always willing to learn. I've chatted with him and given him advice over Instagram, and he is always thankful and willing to hear. I don't know the guy but when I first got my 80, some of his videos really helped me simplify things as I was still learning.
