The builder of my shack that it was a good idea to put a hot tub ten feet out my patio door. With the sides and rear having full height concrete walls since my back yard is stepped about 24 inches. Well I hated looking at a hot tub so I moved it to a pad in the upper left and it is no longer an eye sore for me. But I now have a 8x8 space with 33 inch ish walls, so I am thinking of an out door kitchen.

I have power to it, gas is not an option, so a built in with LP storage under the top.

Ideas?

I built a nice island (metal studs and concrete back board skin) that has a powered and lit cubby for my CookShack smoker in addition to 120V outlets on all sides, and the SS grill and dual burner unit (18,000btu) and underneath storage with SS doors.

I started with natural gas...but due to lessened burner output with NG I went back to propane...no regrets there.

If I had to do it over again I would NOT use the expensive side burner units: NOTHING LESS THAN 25-30,000 BTU works on the patio due to wind. The outdoor grill/burner manufacturers offer the same BTU burners you would put inside...WTF?! And I have a large BBQ that works great for parties...but is a bit too large for cooking for two...not sure I have the answer for this...other than a second small unit in addition to the larger unit?

Sink, Or just a rinse station that drains to the street and then to the run off drain on the curb??
