they seem to be pretty reasonable and they import some quality cruisers. the downside is they're kinda in the middle of nowhere, whitehorse, yukon i believe.

Hey Land Pimper. Do you think we could more easily import diesel 80's into the US (after they have been imported into Canada) because the 80 series was imported (like the FJ60/HJ60 issues) into the US? I mean the 74 was never brought in anywhere around here.
Id LOVE an HDJ80. I'll wait till Canada can get the middle 90's versions though.
if you look at the description of each vehicle the 61 has a hell of a lot more options/goodies than the 81. besides it's only their demo vehicle, the other 61 is considerably less than the 81
why? you can ge the diff locks, factory winches, full load in the HDJ81s...why wait?
it is not like these have the gutless 3FE or anything like that...
just curious

i am sorry Landpimp but i can not do such a thing...
you have to realise the complications, you could loose all your investment and have the feds watch you from that day forward... you could get charged with smuggling... even if you did get a 74 registered as a 70 then the insurance (heaven forbid if you get into a serious accident) could refuse payment...
it really is not worth the risk unless you have a lot of spare cash floating around and you don't mind the risk...
in this case it might be best to contact that gent on ebay and see if he could help you out...
no offense
cheers
Wayne
BTW, if you have a residence up here you might be able to pull it off... not sure if that will work or not...
because the reasons you state are the reasons I don't have a non US cruiser. You are 100% correct
NO offence takin.

I have had some dealings with Outback, top notch guys and they do a lot of stuff to the trucks before they sell em.. sythetic everywhere etc.
That's Marko's own personal truck.
could you possibly import one (HDJ80) as a "show vehicle"
here in California I have seen quite a few rare RHD cruisers that are on display at Spector off road
of course they probobly arent daily drivers but non the less they are here and have California plates.
anyone know the details of importing under the guise or dis guise of "for show purposes"
