Knee surgery or knee replacement? I've had both my knees replaced. Dr. Robert Gorab is the best. Dr. Barnett in the same office is very good too.

Bummer! I can’t recommend any specific doctors, but for post-op PT I highly recommend Southland Physical Therapy. Best wishes on the surgery and recovery to full strength and mobility!

Sorry to hear. Hopefully the repair is simple enough that you don’t need to stay overnight.
I can’t recommend the orthopedic surgeon who fixed my meniscus and ACL since he relocated to the east coast.
I would suggest talking to a PT as soon as possible. There are things pre-op that can help you now and with post-op recovery. Happy to share my experience if you think it would help.

Interestingly, the dr who operated x2 on my right knee (both revisions from utah operation) says surgery (based off reading the mri report) while second dr here in oc says no & they don't even repair current problem (tear at the lateral antirior horn) based on him looking at mri.

Me thinks the oc dr considers imaging of arthritis (no symptoms) considered w. age nixs the surg option. that doesn't fly in my world.

heading to pt today & will stealthily probe their opinion.

In any event, I will give pt a few months to give positive results. Only fear on waiting is compensation issues.
