Thnx. I need to add a quart anyway.Disconnect the coil and spin the motor for a few seconds to get oil up top and pull gas to the carb, then reconnect the coil and fire up.
I have to get on that...Looks like wiper blades should be on the list.
..like, an ounce or so..?Pull the plugs and give each jug a shot of Marvels mystery oil then whirl it over until it builds oil pressure.
Gr8.I use a big syringe with some tubing - less messy. 10cc or so if it has been a long time, 5 is enough for over winter. My 72 sat for perhaps 15 years out side. -20 to over 100. I dosed it up really good at day one. Then every few years when I had to move it like 10 yards to clean up around it and move it back using the starter I would give it a shot. Low range and no plugs makes it easier on the starter. Anyway this spring, I had to file the points to get spark, put on a new $10 electric fuel pump and she fired right up on fresh gas. Hardly smoked at all for a few minutes.
