Oil pump cover, front main seal, and one inch body lift all done with no issues. You'd almost think I knew what I was doing . Justin was a big help too.

How'd you guys manage on the torque on the main crank bolt? Were you able to get it up to 304?

Yeah, I followed that much - but were you able to get it up to 304 without much trouble? I haven't heard a whole lot of success stories around that, other than "about that tight".

Yeah, I did mine with that same can. Works great! It's been in use over a year now.

It all depends on the condition of your charcoal canister... if it's dead, you'll get over pressure in the tank.

Not sure if older trucks are more susceptible or not, but it's a 20-minute job after doing some slight modifications to the part from AZ.

This is one of the few parts you can't buy from Mr T even if you wanted to...they just don't make it anymore.

Ya...the charcoal canister thing is heat related, out in the desert this summer I had lots of issues with it. Sometimes having to wait 20 minutes at the gas station for my fuel to stop boiling before I could fill up...

Updated page one. This session never happened - we ended up doing a lot of work in each of our respective neighborhoods. Lots of progress over the last few weeks.

I still have to put my s*** back together... upper is still torn apart, but I did the rear axle today and a bunch of other small stuff. Would have done more if I had the right parts with me to block off the PAIR crap and EGR (on the way).

I heard Justin and Danny got Justin's truck back on the road after the head gasket replacement - nice!

you mean the headgasket and motor mounts and re built alternator egr delete phh bypass every vacuum line and heater hose and probably something I forgot. it's alive and almost done we just have to replace the throttle cable. it's really stiff and doesn't want to let the truck idle low enough unless you stick your foot under the gas pedal and pull it.
