Wanted Oregon FJ40 late model oem front seat covers

I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking for a set of OEM front seat covers that are in decent shape. There's a lot of aftermarket options out there, just trying to see if there is a set of OEM available first. Looking for 1979 through 1983 models only, they will be light gray in color as shown in the picture.

If I understand correctly and you’re looking for a used OE Set, I still have my original covers, removed now in a box from my 79/2 40. They’re better than the ones in the pic. I’ve decided to replace them but at one point I considered putting them back on.

Would be careful. Been a number of problems with scammers using someone else's pictures to sell something they don't even have. Seller joining 2023 would put a caution if not a red flag. Haven't been following the cost of seat covers but price sounds cheap for a quality covers.

I also believe 8/80 the seat covers changed. Later ones covered the metal back.

And just to be clear, i am not selling nor affiliated with it. Just something i saw on FB Marketplace. I, as well, am overly cautious and everyone should do their own due diligence.

Thank you, but I am looking for original Toyota seat covers, not aftermarket.

I believe the 79 and 80 year models where the only ones that had the grey metal seat backs. I have pulled them off a original 79 parts truck and my 80 had them from the factory.

My 81 and 83 never had them. I guess PO's could have removed them, but I don't remember seeing them on any 8/80 - 83 models that I have come across.

The vinyl seat covers are all the same for 79+. The grey metal back panel attaches to the back of the seats via 4 screws. The panel goes over the vinyl seat cover.

I would bet the panel would easily attach the 8/80+ seats, as I think the seats are all the same for these years. Seems to me for whatever reason Toyota just droped addition of the back panel on 8/80+.

The factory seat covers are probably different then in the case of 79-80 versus 8/80+ to account for the metal cover.

It's actually 9/72-1/79 and 1/79+. The 73-78 model seats are a completely different than 1/79+ seats.
