My Cummins powered 1997 40th is for auction. No Reserve: 5.9L Cummins-Powered 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 Collectors Edition - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-toyota-land-cruiser-fzj80-246/
This cruiser was built here at Powertrain Integration (my business) for my daily driver and used to test a few products like the Window Rocket, Hydroboost and a gear drive power steering pump with a built in tach sensor. I've taken it on several camping adventures, while also keeping it in very nice shape. I believe all panels show original paint. It has never been in an accident. It is 100% rust free.
The Cruiser has just under 214K miles, the engine has about 185K with a rebuilt top end and new OEM headgasket. The engine is mildly tuned to around 250HP. It does not smoke at all under acceleration.
The original A343 transmission is retained with the Cummins. It handles the mild Cummins power well. Shifts firm and at the correct timing using a Microsquirt transmission controller.
This is a very clean and well executed Cummins conversion. Everything works- Dash gauges, cruise control, Air conditioning, heat front and rear. Heat works great in the winter. AC works great in the summer. The engine temperature never gets above normal.
It features a large and very effective air-air front intercooler with mandrel bend tubing.
Exhaust is mandrel bent 3" aluminized steel run fully inside the frame using the factory toyota mounts. The chambered muffler keeps it quiet inside for cruising, but has great sound when you step on it.
All five tires are matching. The winch is a 10K Warn rebuilt and upgraded with a real Albright contactor.
Group 31 Deka battery with 2/0 battery cables.
