I don't have the exact thread measurements at hand. But if you can verify that F.D knob is the smallest diameter made, I'll buy it.

Not sure which year the thread diameter changed, but both my 1961 and 1962s require the smallest of the several sizes. I have already made this mistake once---that is buying one that looks identical but is a larger inside diameter---and don't want to again.

Will either search the forum for the correct measurements or will get back to you later tonight when I can physically measure my 1961 cable end diameter.

Old Red, your in luck. It's the smaller diameter one. I forgot about that little detail. Thank you for bringing that up. I have a 66 FJ45 Lpb and a 66 FJ45Lpb. I measured both. My 66 has the larger dia. And the 65 has the smaller dia. I tried the knob on both.

If only fits the 65... So it's the smaller one.
