I am ordering the idle up valve and hoses from PartSouq (white puff of smoke on start up-could be valve stems but 190K so time to replace valve/hoses)-- and PS does not ask for the State- just my name, street number, and zip code so the final address is a bit wonky.

For you have ordered from PS before can I assume how wonky the address turns out that just my name, street address, and zip is enough to get your parts to you?

I do not know if they hand off to the USPS like some overseas shippers-- which may mess up the USPS computer/sorter if not in US format.

Other middle east suppliers I have bought parts from have always asked for the US method of stating my address and normally through DHL direct to my door.

I was thinking paying via PayPal to assure the correct address format- but not sure this will work to correct PS address.

Any thoughts?

This is what my PS address ends up like

That’s exactly the format mine end up as, FedEx figure it out no problem.

I assumed that the state is pretty much covered by the zip code and UPS/FedEx/DHL are smart enough-- but my fear was if the package is handed off to USPS which I do not have the highest trust in since they have lost packages in the past.

It’s fine.
28714 is your zip code, correct? Mine also comes out like that. Nothing to worry. I use fedex and they'll bring it to your door, no other carriers are involved. Just order, and relax...

Makesure to include the VIN.

My last order shipped DHL. They don't lose stuff.

Ordered from partsouq.com for 6x now so far 6/6 no issues.

My usual maintenance weekend routine.

Saturday

9:00 AM - Start installing parts received during the past week.
5:00 PM - Figure out that you didn't order everything you need and prepare for another parts order.
7:00 PM - Place Partsouq order for more parts. Yes, they work on Sunday.

Tuesday

11:30 AM - Receive more parts from Partsouq.

Saturday

9:00 AM - Continue with parts installation.

I'm sure they would like to have a more complete address to work with but I can tell you that in the several years I have used PartSouq
they have NEVER failed me. Have always gotten my order right, always shipped quickly (generally get the order faster than if ordered stateside) and the parts are always over-packaged and never damaged.

IF more vendors stateside operated as efficiently, they would get more my business.

I have used Partsouq often, with satisfaction every time. In my case I specify DHL for shipping because that works best for me in Brisbane Australia. DHL handle any import issues, duties payable etc, and then bill me for these, then delivery to my door takes place, means I don't have to spend time chasing down Government Departments!

Likewise, I am fussy about the complete delivery address and contact details being exactly right when spending a lot of money and importing stuff from far away, so I started by using the login tab on the partsouq website, then the registration tab, then filled in ALL the details -- as shown in the pic below. Then click on "Next" allows other details to be added -- here I enter precise model details, year, engine, VIN etc. Once this is done once, it is easily used for orders and easy to return to the relevant part of the partsouq site just by using the login -- all "Profile" details are then already in place and full address and contact details are used by the site for any new order. "Profile" can be revised at any time.

Somewhere along the way when ordering, the shipper can be chosen -- in my case DHL. Then DHL want all the name, address, contact details again -- but that's OK -- it is good to be sure that all the details are correct everywhere. So far, there have been no mishaps and DHL "tracking" works very well. All packages have arrived with the full address details showing on the label. Other shippers probably have similar arrangements.

There is no box to fill in the State I live in. I assume that the zip code provides the State for shipping.

It does....as long as that doesn't get screwed up. Having the State listed is a redundancy... that along with the City, can be another method to identify your location.

caught in the same loop … only difference is occasionally the order is split between Partsouq and Impex so deliveries are staggered 🤪

When you purchase parts from Partsouq choose the shipping method that has it's delivery hub close to you. I used DHL cause it was cheaper years ago, I wasn't home a few when they tried to deliver it and I had to pick it up at their hub, which was almost an hour away. I now choose FedEx even if it's a little more, since their hub is 10 minutes from me.

Interesting that most of you had such quick turn around. My only experience with them was cancelling an order after 12 days and still not shipped. Every time I contacted them it was " should ship within 3 days, warehouse is backlogged." I'm sure I'll try them again in the future because of their prices but basically order everything I can from Cruiser Outfitters or someone else stateside.

There seem to be 2 options per part … the option with 2-3 day processing is generally more expensive than the 7-12 day processing option … you can see from the below screenshot that the first 2 orders were the cheaper option and took 10 days or so, whereas the bottom one went out within 3 days … time is money … don’t forget their working week is Sunday to Thursday.
