It's a 91 or 92, I4, 5spd, 4x4 but there is oil in the radiator. There is no oil in the pan. Guy wants $500.00 for it. I haven't seen it yet. I plan to look it over Sunday. How does oil get into radiator, but no water make it to the pan?

Well, 80 series have issues with getting oil into the radiator. Thought it was head gasket issue.

Bad headgasket or cracked head could cause this potentially. If hes wrong and there is coolant in oil, the most likely culprit is the timimg chain eating into a water jacket in front cover when stock guides break.

My main interest is the interior of the vehicle. My 95 4Runner's interior is kinda of rough. What is the going rate for a decent interior?

$500 seems reasonable thinking that you are getting all the interior you want plus an extra tranny, transfer case, rear axle, etc.

Cool!! If I do pull the trigger on this I'll hit ya up. Heck, I'm looking for an engine for a smaller project. Even smaller than my Samurai. It will be a trail/DD rig more than anything. No need for big HP. This project is a long (LONG) way out like when kids get out of school. Sorry bout that. Got off on a tangent.
All the interior, yes, and other items, pending condition like: glass, rear gate, doors, electric motors for windows, switches. I also could use a front clip, all the headlight brackets, grill, front fenders, blah, blah, blah, again, pending condition. I think the only other part I could use would be the Tcase, I think?. I think my engine and trans came out of a 1996+ Taco.
Axles are both Diamonds so the axles are out. I could pull the rear and shelf if someone needed it later.
As far as the one for sale goes, the owner had stuff going on so I didn't get by to look at it Sunday. I'm going to try again Wednesday. He said the engine was rebuilt not to long ago and has the paperwork for the rebuild. I'll see if he will bring the paperwork with him.

After the first attempt we decided it wasn't getting gas. Gave it some right in front of the butterfly. So here is a vid of the second attempt to start it.

And some pictures. As you can see the interior is pretty bad. The engine does run but has issues as mentioned. I couldn't drive it because a break line ruptured. And yes it was rusty under the belly.

The Guy sold it. Do me a favor and keep your eyes open for 2ed gen 4Runner’s being parted. I’d like a donor rig.
