Got my oilpan off to find that it was removed the wrong way once, with a flathead screwdriver. The arch that faces the trans is battered a little. Photos below.
Is this in the realm that FIPG can seal or not?
I’d hate to do all the work to find it leaks but also would hate to spend $269 for a new one.
TIA

It appears to me that the surface should still seal up with FPIG. I would clean/file/sand rough edges. Can't tell from the pictures if you may be able to use a small drift punch or similar tool to lightly re-form any deformed areas of concern...
Best of luck!

fipg will work no problem, if you can find something that matches that curve of the pan you can lightly hammer out the any deformities for a smoother sealing surface

Thanks CO boy, I hope so!

The 3FE uses a heavy cork oil pan gasket 12151-61011.
Like others have said, a light coating of some RTV will fill in the gaps on your pan.
Make certain the front and rear arch bearing caps and the rest of the block mating surface are as clean as possible before installation.
Make several passes around the 22 bolts until you see the cork just starting to deform. Resist the urge to over tighten. FSM calls for 69 INCH/lb.
