Stolen::

So I've suspected for some time that my girl is cheating on me. The usual 'red flags', she turns her phone screen away when texting, always going out with the girlfriends, new underwear all the time. I try to stay awake when she comes home at night but I always fall asleep. Anyway, last night around midnight I decided to hide under my truck and wait for her to come home. Shortly after, a car pulled in and she got out while buttoning up her shirt. She then took out her panties and slipped them on under her dress. It was then at that moment while I was lying under my truck that I noticed a hairline crack in the rear shock mounting bracket. Is that something I can weld? Or does the whole bracket need to be replaced. If it can be welded, does anyone have a welder I can borrow?

At first I thought "oh s***, james' life is falling apart", then I laughed.

Agree, hairline cracks are nothing to sneeze at, crack propagation theory calculations are hard too, and drilling a hole to stop the propagation by increasing the I^^3 . Should be looked at.

But, if she had a shirt, why did she have a dress......

Forklift or tractor?

Busted right out of the box. I like diesels in vehicles that work for a living :)

If so, he’ll prob swap it out with a LS

Putting an LS in a tractor makes about as much sense as putting an industrial diesel in a daily driver to me. It can be done but.................................

I was kidding back. Do what really?

I was sort of kidding, but do people really do that?

I think it depends on your definition of industrial. My old John Deer 4850 diesel engine I worked back in HS took 22 quarts of oil and was probably twice as big as a 6BT even though it was a straight 6 with only on more liter of displacement approx.

That said - When I was researching, I found people who where taking the big Kubotas out of mowers and putting them in mini trucks :)

Is the 4BT "industrial" if found in a box truck? :)

I was actually referring to the Iseki motor in the new tractor.

This is the first paragraph on the Cummins page. It then goes on to talk about how it was used in bread trucks. Looks pretty cool all black.

Cummins B3.9 – The 4BT
B3.9_3qtr_Fuel_Side-hpr.jpg
Introduced in 1983, the first Cummins B3.9 diesel quickly became a workhorse industrial diesel engine all around the world, powering everything from wood chippers and excavators to military vehicles and delivery trucks. As Cummins technology advanced, the line expanded with the turbocharged B3.9T and the aftercooled B3.9TA.

Commonly known by enthusiasts simply as the 4BT, this family of engines was built to offer long-lasting and trouble-free diesel power, and it delivered.

The 4BT marked an important milestone in Cummins history, expanding Cummins power well beyond the heavy-duty engine market. The engine gained such a reputation for reliability that it retains a loyal following well after production ended.

Needs a lift

It has a lift, on the front there, see the black open box in the lower left corner. it lifts! :)

14" ground clearance. Front drive shaft does not hang down, the oil pan has a channel front to back that the drive shaft runs through, pretty cool. Makes me wonder how the pickup works. Already found a factory service manual.
