Sarah's grandfather (age 94) called on Saturday morning and said he needed a desk lamp. OK. We're already at IKEA so we pick one up. It's in a box. He comes by the house that evening and picks it up.
Today, Wednesday, he texts us that he needs us to bring him a rubber jar opener and a pipe wrench. Yes, that's right. To put his lamp together. I think I'll throw in a shovel just for giggles.
